Warm luxury meets with cool minimalism
On the coastline between Beirut and Jounieh, just 15 minutes from the capital, this new beach resort resides where Nahr-el-Kalb River meets the Mediterranean Sea. It is a sophisticated realisation of the Mediterranean beach resort experience.
The FF&E brief was to enhance the luxury interiors that encompass the natural beauty of the building’s waterfront location. The vision of the developer was to create a beautifully divided and landscaped complex where residents could lose themselves to wherever their mood took them and to allow them to enjoy their own space at their own pace.
A sophisticated Nature
Set into the picturesque natural coastline the Nahr al-Kalb was once the ancient Lycus River. In the 13th century BC a treaty concluded by Ramses II set Nahr al-Kalb as the border between Egypt and the possessions of the Hittites. The area was originally home to the Phoenicians with a maritime history that flourished over a thousand years and today has a rich culture of hospitality and a reputation for glamorous waterfront properties. The FF&E concept set out to encapsulate a sense of luxury with sophisticated elements of nature.
Contemporary Glamour
The interiors emanate understated glamour through engaging art and natural materials. The use of exquisite contemporary finishes offer a cool and minimalist palette and a sophisticated approach to the use of light makes the most of the mediterranean sea views.

A True Hidden Cornwall Gem
St Michaels is a 4-star luxury spa hotel & resort in Falmouth, Cornwall with stunning sea views, sub-tropical gardens and a state of the art Health Club, featuring an expert range of hydrothermal facilities, relaxation areas, and luxurious treatment rooms.
Fusion has been commissioned to refresh the overall vision for the Resort, our approach to the interior design refurbishment was to treat the project as an evolutionary design, rather than a revolution or re-invention of the existing spaces and to weave a strong narrative into each of the interiors to unite them but to also give each a distinct identity of their own.
Evolution & Identity
Cornish wellbeing & Sailing Legacy
The overall design vision is an evolutionary “Yacht Club” concept that connects all of the existing interior communal spaces together. A stimulating environment rich with natural materials which reflect the fundamental principles of “Cornish Wellbeing” and inspired by Falmouth’s shipping and sailing legacy, the coastal location of the resort and the history of Cornwall
Dramatic reinvention
The culmination in St Michaels’ dramatic reinvention, 2020 will see the launch of four luxurious and exclusive sea-facing Spa Garden Lodges nestled into our sub-tropical gardens. Anticipated to include zip & link super-king beds, luxury shower rooms and Cornish chic living areas, each lodge will enjoy fabulous views from the living space through large sliding doors ( they are sliding doors not bi folds ) on to a private deck adorned with an outdoor slipper bath. They will be the epitome of the St Michaels experience and the perfect sanctuary in which to unwind. Guests staying in these exquisite spaces will also enjoy complimentary access to the spa’s hydrothermal facilities throughout their stay for complete rejuvenation.
Guests can expect reclaimed timber, strong naval blue accents and calming neutral tones, complemented by natural textures, nautical accessories and artwork pieces that evoke the feeling of being the personal guest of the captain himself.
